- Ionic conduction is moving ions. Metallic conduction is moving electrons. Do not mix them.
- Do not say weak covalent bonds for why methane has a low boiling point. The covalent bonds stay intact — the weak forces between molecules break.
- Ionic solids do not conduct; metals do. The moving particles are electrons in metals, ions in molten ionic compounds.
- Particles do not melt. The substance melts. Particles gain energy and change arrangement.
